Steak 'n Shake employee calls out of Thanksgiving shift because he's drunk, shows up anyway to attempt a robbery

OAKWOOD, Ga. (AP) — Police in Georgia say a man called out of his Steak ’n Shake job because he was “intoxicated,”

Seems like it was an eventful Thanksgiving for our friend Kentarias.

He merely participated in some classic Thanksgiving drinking and called out of work. What's the big deal? Working on an entry-level job on Thanksgiving/Black Friday is literally one of the worst experiences ever. Working at a Steak 'n Shake on Thanksgiving can only get so busy. The majority of people are at home, eating dinner with family/friends. Not to mention but, calling out of work is one of the most stressful things of all time. It might just be me but every time I call/text/email someone saying that I can't go into work, I feel like I'm gonna get fired on the spot if I don't have a good enough excuse.

What's the worst that can happen from one employee calling out though?

then showed up anyway and demanded money while holding a co-worker at gunpoint.

Ahhhh boy. There's always a kicker. He tried to pull the ole' show up to my place of work where I won't be recognized and rob the place. Classic. How could things go wrong?

Police say responding officers arrived to see employees running from the business, which had customers at the time. Police say an apparently still intoxicated Gowans briefly raised the gun at officers before dropping it. He was arrested after a brief struggle during which a stun gun was used.

Well. Seems like Kentarias will have a long time to think about this whole ordeal. Thankfully, everyone was ok and no one got hurt. Also, I can only imagine that getting drunkenly carried out of a Steak 'n Shake by a squadron of police after you just tried to rob your co-workers is one of the worst feelings of all time. Let's just hope that the next time our friend Kentarias gets drunk, he will just stay home, leave the innocent people out of it.
